Steve Leder is the Senior Rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles and the author of such critically acclaimed books as The Extraordinary Nature of Ordinary Things and More Money Than God: Living a Rich Life without Losing Your Soul. He has just published his new book titled More Beautiful Than Before. In this episode we talk about how he found his calling to be a Rabbi, his own pain and depression, how suffering can transform, forgiveness, grief dreams, his father’s Alzheimer’s, dreams he has of his father now, and a dream he would want to have.

Brian Lehmann's photography career has taken him to over 30 countries around the world. Brian’s excitement and energy toward photography are displayed in the speaking engagements and workshops he teaches. Although most proud of his Fulbright scholarship, he’s been published worldwide in newspapers and magazines. He first appeared in National Geographic Magazine in April 2015 after documenting a unique death culture in Indonesia. In this episode we talk about his photography career, his series called ‘The Living Dead’, dreams of two influential photo editors and his grandmother, and a dream he wants to have.

Anna Seewald is the founder of Authentic Parenting®. She is a speaker, author and a parent educator. As a child she survived through a severe earthquake, but her young mom died (among others). She has been through trauma, pain, and a lot suffering. With a strong passion helping children, Anna dedicated her life working with abused, neglected, orphaned, institutionalized children and juvenile delinquents. After nearly 20 years she realized that it is through helping parents she can help children. In this episode we talk about her life after the earthquake, her grief journey, authentic parenting, grief dreams, and a dream she wants to have of her mom.

In 2016 Steve launched his own business called Oh My Grief which provides information and resources to individuals, as well as education and training for professional organizations. He is presently working on his Doctor of Ministry where he is considering the relationship between faith and grief. Diane is a Family Support Coordinator for DonateLife Queensland in Australia. She is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker with almost forty years of experience in counselling, employee relations practitioner, consultant, and mediator operating within the public and private sectors including as a guest specialist lecturer at Australian Catholic University. Diane has provided bereavement counselling for families of DonateLife over seventeen years and has extensive knowledge of the issues relevant to families on the grief journey. She works from a strengths-based and values-aware position in her counselling and coordination role. In this episode Diane talks about her journey working with the bereaved, grief dreams in her practice, the death of her parents and her baby (through miscarriage), and her dreams of her parents.

Dr. Tim Murphy is an associate professor of Psychology at Brock University; however, his path was not exactly straight. He was heavily involved as a drummer in competitive pipe bands and even won a world championship in 1987. After his math degree he drove a truck for 7 years during which time, he met Wendy, a wonderful woman he would eventually marry. She convinced him to return to university and they completed M.A. degrees in Psychology at Brock University and had just begun their PhDs when Wendy passed away. In 1997 he created a scholarship in Wendy’s name (https://brocku.ca/social-sciences/departments-and-centres/psychology/graduate-programs/current-students/wendy-murphy ) and continues to raise funds to support it by running a golf tournament each fall (this year it is on Sept 9th, 2017).
