Steve Leder is the Senior Rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles and the author of such critically acclaimed books as The Extraordinary Nature of Ordinary Things and More Money Than God: Living a Rich Life without Losing Your Soul. He has just published his new book titled More Beautiful Than Before. In this episode we talk about how he found his calling to be a Rabbi, his own pain and depression, how suffering can transform, forgiveness, grief dreams, his father’s Alzheimer’s, dreams he has of his father now, and a dream he would want to have.

Anna Seewald is the founder of Authentic Parenting®. She is a speaker, author and a parent educator. As a child she survived through a severe earthquake, but her young mom died (among others). She has been through trauma, pain, and a lot suffering. With a strong passion helping children, Anna dedicated her life working with abused, neglected, orphaned, institutionalized children and juvenile delinquents. After nearly 20 years she realized that it is through helping parents she can help children. In this episode we talk about her life after the earthquake, her grief journey, authentic parenting, grief dreams, and a dream she wants to have of her mom.

In 2016 Steve launched his own business called Oh My Grief which provides information and resources to individuals, as well as education and training for professional organizations. He is presently working on his Doctor of Ministry where he is considering the relationship between faith and grief. In this episode we talk about funerals, Oh My Grief, his PhD topic, dreams in the Bible, powerful dreams in his life, the death of his friends, a grief dream of one of them, and a dream he would like to have.

Robin left her job as a computer software systems analyst for over 20 years after the suicide of her husband in 2005. Her journey led to her transformation. She discovered new passions, to write, to teach, to encourage and to coach others. Rachel Gebler Greenberg is a writer, storyteller and Ambassador with One Legacy, the Southern California chapter for organ donation where she speaks frequently about death, grief and finding hope after loss. In 1999 she met and married the love of her life, Glenn and then in 2013 he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a brain hemorrhage. After the sudden passing of her husband Rachel was thrown into this thing called “grief.” She’s spent the last four years studying what happens to us when we die and has started a foundation, “Connections of Hope,” where she helps others with their grief and finding hope after loss. Rachel talks about her life as a Park Ranger’s daughter, the death of her husband, and 3 dreams she had of him.
