Diane is a Family Support Coordinator for DonateLife Queensland in Australia. She is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker with almost forty years of experience in counselling, employee relations practitioner, consultant, and mediator operating within the public and private sectors including as a guest specialist lecturer at Australian Catholic University. Diane has provided bereavement counselling for families of DonateLife over seventeen years and has extensive knowledge of the issues relevant to families on the grief journey. She works from a strengths-based and values-aware position in her counselling and coordination role. In this episode Diane talks about her journey working with the bereaved, grief dreams in her practice, the death of her parents and her baby (through miscarriage), and her dreams of her parents.

Rachel Gebler Greenberg is a writer, storyteller and Ambassador with One Legacy, the Southern California chapter for organ donation where she speaks frequently about death, grief and finding hope after loss. In 1999 she met and married the love of her life, Glenn and then in 2013 he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a brain hemorrhage. After the sudden passing of her husband Rachel was thrown into this thing called “grief.” She’s spent the last four years studying what happens to us when we die and has started a foundation, “Connections of Hope,” where she helps others with their grief and finding hope after loss. Rachel talks about her life as a Park Ranger’s daughter, the death of her husband, and 3 dreams she had of him.

Dr. Mari Dias is a full professor in Counseling at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and a Master’s degree in Counseling. Mari is a nationally certified counselor and holds certifications in both grief counseling (Institute of Health Care Professionals), and complicated grief (from Columbia University). In addition, Mari holds a fellowship in Thanatology (from Association for Death Education and Counseling), is a volunteer for hospice with both end of life and bereavement support, Director of GracePointe Grief Center and talk show host of “Journeys with GracePointe Grief (www.gracepointegrief.com). She is currently working on her first novel “Life of Sighs” which focuses on loss and grief. Mari talks about her life journey, loss of her grandmother and father, and a dream of her father.
