Episode 46 - Mary Howe

Mary Howe is the Founder and Director of the not-for-profit business SonFlower Stables. Her success is focused on her ability to intuitively connect with the horses, and empathically connect with each participant of the various programs in an effort to heal mental and psychological trauma. In this episode Mary talks about how horses saved her life, her non-profit organization, death of her horse, a dream she had of it, and a dream she wants to have.

Episode 45 - Dr. Tim Murphy

Dr. Tim Murphy is an associate professor of Psychology at Brock University; however, his path was not exactly straight. He was heavily involved as a drummer in competitive pipe bands and even won a world championship in 1987. After his math degree he drove a truck for 7 years during which time, he met Wendy, a wonderful woman he would eventually marry. She convinced him to return to university and they completed M.A. degrees in Psychology at Brock University and had just begun their PhDs when Wendy passed away. In 1997 he created a scholarship in Wendy’s name (https://brocku.ca/social-sciences/departments-and-centres/psychology/graduate-programs/current-students/wendy-murphy ) and continues to raise funds to support it by running a golf tournament each fall (this year it is on Sept 9^th, 2017).

Episode 43 - Cheryl Jones

Cheryl Jones is Manager of Professional Education at the Women’s Cancer Resource Center (Oakland, CA), where she developed, manages and teaches in their Continuing Education program. Also, Cheryl is the host of the radio show Good Grief, a grief counselor, and cancer educator. Episode 42 - Bonnie Tompkins

Bonnie Tompkins holds a Bachelor of Public Health with a specializing in Palliative Care. She currently works with Pallium Canada as the Compassionate Communities National Lead, which has her focusing on mobilizing compassionate communities across Canada. She has also lead two compassionate community (CC) initiative in Burlington and Niagara West Ontario. We talked about her work with compassionate communities, her journey with her dying husband, her grief journey, dreams of him, and a dream she wants to have of him.

Episode 41 - Justin Wren

Justin Wren left a promising mixed martial arts career to live as one with the Mbuti Pygmies in the Congo. Through his foundation, Fight for the Forgotten, and other benefactors, Wren helped the Pygmies secure their own land and drill wells to support their community. Now with a new motivation for competing, Justin currently fights in Bellator MMA and with every opportunity tells the story of his Pygmy family in the Congo. Defend the weak, love the unloved, empower the voiceless. In this episode, we get to hear Justin's story, find out what motivates him, talk loss, and Justin tells us about some power visions and dreams that have guided him in his journey.

Episode 40 - Jeannette Thompson

Jeannette Thompson works as a spiritual grief counselor and a workshop facilitator. Her life forcefully changed direction after the death of her son. During the next few years her search for answers turned into furthering her education. She trained as a Grief Counsellor at Mohawk College, and trained as a volunteer Crisis worker for the Sexual Assault Centre and the Distress Centre. She then became certified as a Spiritual Psychotherapist and Spiritual Director through the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training. Episode 39 - Rachel Gebler Greenberg

Rachel Gebler Greenberg is a writer, storyteller and Ambassador with One Legacy, the Southern California chapter for organ donation where she speaks frequently about death, grief and finding hope after loss. In 1999 she met and married the love of her life, Glenn and then in 2013 he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a brain hemorrhage. After the sudden passing of her husband Rachel was thrown into this thing called “grief.” She’s spent the last four years studying what happens to us when we die and has started a foundation, “Connections of Hope,” where she helps others with their grief and finding hope after loss. Rachel talks about her life as a Park Ranger’s daughter, the death of her husband, and 3 dreams she had of him.

After graduating from Canada’s National Ballet School, Nicole Meredith went on to complete both her B.A. and M.A. in English at the University of Toronto. Nicole currently works full-time in communications and marketing, and is a freelance editor and writer. Both Joshua and Darwyn's fathers' have passed away so we get their perspective of this holiday, and we build some dreams for both in honour of their fathers'. This podcast is dedicated to them, as well as all father's alive and passed away.

Episode 35 - Mellie Fricker
